Directions

From Roose Road, turn into St Luke’s Road, opposite Coop. Cross over Salthouse Road onto road signed as dead end.

Step 1 – Salthouse Rd entrance

Proceed with caution as the road is uneven and potholed; go under Railway Bridge and turn left.

Step 2 – Under rail bridge

Caution! If the area under the bridge is flooded there is a risk of flooding car engines. This only occurs when heavy rain coincides with a high tide.

Step 3 – Left after rail bridge

Following the road to the left towards the demolished Paper Mills.

Step 4 – Past demolished paper mills

Continue following the road past the demolished Paper Mills until the road ends.

Step 5 – Left at end of road

The way ahead is blocked by a rubble mound, turn left here.

Step 6 – Proceed through gated entrance

Continue through gates.

Step 7 – Turn immediately right

Once through the gates, turn right.

Step 8 – Proceed through next gated entrance

Follow the track through the next set of gates.

Step 9 – Follow track

Continue to follow the track, be careful of the uneven terrain in vehicles with low ground clearance.

Step 10 – Proceed through last gated entrance

Proceed through the last gated entrance; this is the entrance to the range compound.

Step 11 – Turn immediately left

Turn immediately left after entering the range compound.

Step 12 – Continue to car park

Continue along the short track to the range car park.

Caution! Be mindful of pedestrians and other vehicles moving around within the range compound.

Please park considerately as the car park can become quite full on busy range days.
